Privacy Policy

LessScroll is built on a simple principle: your data is yours. We do not collect, store, or transmit personal information. Everything stays on your device.

No Account. No Server. No Data Collected.

LessScroll requires no account and no sign-in. We do not collect your name, email, location, or any personally identifiable information. There is no backend server that receives your data.

What's Stored on Your Device

All app data is stored locally using Apple's UserDefaults, scoped to your device only. This includes:

• Your onboarding answers (name, age range, focus goals)
• Session history — start times, end times, completed sessions
• Streak count and daily progress
• Your app blocking selection (which apps to block)
• Session schedule preferences

This data is not synced to iCloud, not backed up to any server, and not accessible to us in any form. Deleting the app removes it entirely.

App Blocking — Screen Time & Family Controls

LessScroll uses Apple's Family Controls framework and Screen Time API to block apps during focus sessions. This is handled entirely by iOS on your device. We never see, receive, or store which apps you choose to block, or any Screen Time data.

Local Notifications

LessScroll sends local notifications — session complete reminders, streak alerts, and weekly recaps. These are scheduled on-device by iOS and are never routed through an external server. No notification data is sent to us.

Subscriptions (Superwall)

LessScroll uses Superwall to manage subscription paywalls. Superwall may collect limited, non-personally-identifiable data related to paywall impressions and subscription status. No personal identity data is shared. All payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store — we never see your payment details. See Superwall's Privacy Policy for details.

In-App Contact Form

If you use the in-app contact form, your message is submitted to Formspree, a third-party form service. Only the content you type and your email address (if provided) are transmitted. See Formspree's Privacy Policy for details.

No Advertising. No Tracking. No Data Sale.

• We do not use advertising SDKs or third-party trackers.
• We do not build behavioral profiles.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any party.

Children's Privacy

LessScroll is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through the contact form, email us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the app changes. Updates will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance.
